Scalloped Peppers along with Onion in Crock-Pot - Food - Recipes

This scrumptious dish is one of the ultimate "comfort" foods. The believed of either cooked peppers or cooked onions takes me back to a flea market food trailer. The open windows in the trailer allowed the awesome aroma of cooking onions and peppers to waft out to every corner of this flea market. They produced up an open faced sub sandwich with Italian sausage, kielbasa, hot dogs, or other meat items and covered it with their awesome tasting peppers and onions. The flea market was located in an unused portion of a local mall parking lot. The food vendor is local and so has possibly relocated to an additional flea market. Alas, this flea market is gone, but the memory lingers on.This onion/pepper mixture can be prepared and cooked at dwelling very simply, and the aroma will fill the residence and greet you as you walk in just after function.
